Dishwasher Repair – Replacing the Door Gasket (Frigidaire Part # 154827601)

we are going to explain you how to change the door gasket on your dishwasher. And its a really easy job and will not need any tools. Let me explain you how we do it.

To do this repair we are going to start by opening the dishwasher door fully and then with either a small flat-blade screwdriver or butter knife or something, we are just going to hook the corner of that gasket enough to pull it free.
Once you can get it a little bit you can just pull it completely out of the website where it is sitting in and we can discard the old gasket. gasket on your dishwasher
Before we install the new one we will inspect that little website and make that there is no crud built up in there that will impede the fitting of the new gasket so if we need to clean that area out.

And next we are going to take that gasket and typically you will see some kind of an indicator mark telling me where the center of the gasket will be and if you look at the profile on the end you will note that there are a couple of ribs on one edge of it, and that will be the edge that goes into the website. So we will locate the center, we will start there, center it up directly underneath the latch and just press it in the place and just park it all the way around that website without stretching it.

Take care in the corners so you dont pull it too tight and stretch it and just go all the way around it to make sure we have it fully seated into that gap.

It should sit just a bit of flush with the outside edge of that molded website and the door will now fit a little bit tighter than it has before, so if you are going to close it you may need to push it a little harder to latch it that will take a [indiscernible] [00:02:53] time and your repair is complete.
