How to Replace the Belt on a Beko Tumble Dryer

Safety first: Always unplug an appliance before carrying out any work. To access the belt I first need to take the top of the machine of by undoing these three screws at the back.

So with the top of here we can see the belt, which as you can see is completely broken and needs replacing. Now because the drum is supported by the back panel what I need to do to be at a slip the new belt over the front of the drum is to remove all the screws on the back panel except two just to give the drum some movement. Now before I remove the screws from the back panel I’m going to unscrew the duct panel and remove that. with most to the screws removed from the back panel I can now get some movement into the drum to be able to slip the new belt over the front of the drum between the drum and the front drum support.

Do be careful when you doing this as there’s a lot of sharp edges on the front the drum. With the belt into position you can actually use the belt as a handle to reset the drum and also make sure that the drums spins freely. If it doesn’t spin freely it may be rubbing on the front to the machine or the door seal.
Now I can re screw the back panel back together making sure before I do so that there are no electrical connections that have become disconnected.
Now if you having trouble attaching the belt to the motor shaft top tip grab yourself an 11 mm socket with an extension shaft which you can use to lever the belt onto the shaft itself So put the socket over the motor shaft and then spin whilst pushing the belt onto the shaft.

You’re then free to remove the socket leaving the belt on the motor shaft itself. With a new belt into position I can now reattach the vent duct put the top back on and that’s it we’re done. So that we have that one brand new belt fitted to this Beko tumble dryer .
