So with a stiff putty knife, we are just going to go into the very edge of those trim pieces, and try to wiggle them away from the handle. Just carefully pry up from the top one.

Use caution that we don’t damage it. Once we have separated it a bit from the edge of the handle, we can push at the rest away just with your thumbs, and will slide it off.

So we will do the same thing on the bottom, and slide it off and you will note that the two end caps are the same, so it doesn’t matter which one we put on top or bottom.
Next we will remove four Phillips screws that hold the handle to the door panel and we can discard the old handle, and take note that the handle does have a top and a bottom; bottom has a more gentle slope to it.

So we will begin by putting one of the screws in, just to hold it in place, and don’t tighten the screws until we have all four in place. Now we can tighten them securely and then we will replace the end caps and again, there are two tabs that will hook-in under the edge of the handle extension. Next we will to make sure that they both engage with the end cap is pressed firmly against the front panel, and then snap them into place and our repair is complete.
